September heatwave

From 26th September to 2nd October it was in the mid 20's!  fantastic, unusual but I'm not one to complain about the heat.  Hubby delivered a few more pallets to the plot for 3 more boxes and other allotmenteers to use, and already begun putting onion sets in the first box (Electric red onion) bought from a local garden centre between Stony Stratford and Towcester (Roman Way garden centre), which always looks like it's about to close but is quite good.  I have purchased green manure seeds from www.sowseeds.co.uk, and will clear a patch that has been weed-ridden and unused, will also sow some where I dug out this year's potatoes which didn't do so well mainly due to it being dry and the bugs getting to the spuds before I did (well I do work as well !!)
