It has been a busy month, June continued the laminate flooring from main bedroom through the landing, and into the 2nd front bedroom (Luke's weekend room) - Walls took the magnolia paint quite well considering the plastering (non)skills of mine! Quite please with the results, and brightens the 1st floor nicely, all we could do with is some sort of skylight or suntube from the loft... another project/budget/year(!)
Dogs are doing well, Bruce (@bruce_ridgeback) is calming down although still trying to shag other dogs, he isn't nasty with it, but still pesters some dogs. Holly our mini jack russell had her booster without any upset.
Allotment coming on slowly, but getting some lovely leaves from the purple sprouting broccoli, had a good crop of peas too. Lots of work to do digging up the other 15+ metres which I've been trying to ignore, but with food costs rising I don't think I can for much longer. If I can dig over & plant out September/Oct ready for March onward 2012 - at least after the week's rains the ground will be better for digging.
Had a surprising chat with hubby, after a stressy month he has now settled down about having kids... At the age of 40, is a bit worrying but I guess I'm missing out that part of life. Apparently. According to most of my friends/relatives that have had kids, I think I missed out on the broody gene! Never been that bothered about having them and always been worried how humanity has destroyed the planet that any newborn child will have nothing left to see or be proud of... I also worry a lot about the environment, natural disasters, the next ice age, meteor strikes, etc. Hubby on the other hand takes everything in his stride, last minute decisions and lives in the moment (a bit like the dogs actually!!) So perhaps I shoould shadow him more!
Peace, out.
