It has been raining non stop since January, but we actually had a 3 day dry spell! I ventured into the allotment to find my plot had developed a natural pond, which I may in fact keep for the wildlife.
Tried to dig over but ended up nearly losing my wellies in the muddy clay so it looks like I'll have to monitor. Tidying up the old raised beds and ended up chatting to another allotment tenant about the old pallets I'd gathered in goes of making a shed, my poor shack is being held up only by the stuff that is in it!
I shall go back to using my conservatory as a seedling station and pray that it continues to dry slowly without the ground going like baked clay.
