Such a lovely start to the day, decided Phoebe could make the walk up to the plot. Took a picnic rug, and once we got there commenced digging. 2 more beds turned over and compost in, but got distracted by several roots laying in the soil leading to an evil looking bramble.
With daughter laughing at my puny efforts I dragged out the offending roots. Then we took a trip to the top end, got good compost and wood chippings to dig into the clumpy but almost dry soil. We're getting there very slowly! Even though we only spent an hour there it was warm, sunny and relaxing... My aching muscles tell me differently but that's my fault for under exercising them.
Then being home I've remembered I have 3 strawberry plants to go in. Darn. Well tomorrow is another day and hopefully a fine one!
