Weather has been reasonable, not drizzly, no frost... so decided to have a morning of going to the Equestrian centre at Loughton for some manure. Lined the boot of the Land rover and started to fill it... however due to the recent thaw/rain/frost/thaw/rain, the way through to the pile was very muddy and slippy, plus still a bit germy so had to keep stopping to blow nose, pull wellies from mud etc! At least I had Luke my stepson to assist, 4 barrows loaded into the car and now planted on my plot... still need about 20 more barrow-fuls I reckon, it's a 26mtr by 2 mtr strip. Currently named it Plantain paradise and Bramblefield as that's what keeps poking through since I hired it last summer.
Now I'm pooped, had a spot of lunch and got to get on with ironing, with the dogs and stepson lounging around I don't much feel like doing but hey ho it won't do itself! ;-)
